Privacy policy

• Order details — name, email, phone and shipping address, collected at checkout because a live animal cannot be delivered without them.
• Correspondence — the emails you exchange with us about an animal or a shipping date.
• Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach our servers and we cannot see them.
• Cart contents — stored locally in your own browser only, so your selection survives a page refresh. This never leaves your device until you check out.

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build visitor profiles, and we do not sell or share personal data with anyone for marketing.

Solely to fulfil your order, arrange safe delivery, provide support afterwards, and keep the records we are required to keep for tax purposes. We do not use your data for anything else.

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your name, email, billing and shipping details as the payment processor of record.
• Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery, which involves processing standard server request data such as IP addresses.
• The courier — your name, address and phone number, so the delivery can be made and an adult signature obtained.

Order and pedigree records are kept indefinitely, because an animal's lineage record is part of its permanent documentation and a future buyer may need it. General correspondence is kept while it is useful for supporting you. Ask us to delete non-essential data at any time.

Email drew@thegeckco.com to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have rights under the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing; we honour those requests regardless of your location.

We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The only client-side storage we use is a single browser entry holding your cart, which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
