How we list an animal

No surprises when the box opens.

01

The animal in the photos is the animal you get

Every listing is one specific gecko, photographed individually. No stock images, no “representative of the morph” hedging. If you reserve it, that is the one that arrives.

02

Shown from every side

Each animal gets a full 360° orbit you can drag through — dorsum, flanks, tail base, head structure. Buying a gecko from two flattering photos tells you very little, so we stopped doing it.

03

Parentage where we know it

Where an animal came from a pairing we bred, we show you the parents and name them. Where we do not have that record, we say so instead of filling the gap in with a story.

The habitat standard

Raised the way the rainforest would raise them.

Planted enclosures, evening misting cycles, and a real day–night temperature drop — the same rhythms a crested gecko evolved with in New Caledonia, kept every day of its life here.

Before it arrives

Have the enclosure running first.

A crested gecko is a genuinely easy animal to keep well and an easy one to keep badly. Set this up and let it stabilise for a few days before your delivery date — not after.

Height, not floor space

These are arboreal. An 18×18×24″ vertical enclosure with cork branches and dense foliage to hide in beats anything wide and shallow. A juvenile starts in something smaller so it can find its food.

Cool and humid

Room temperature — 72–78°F — with no basking lamp. Crested geckos overheat above the low 80s. Mist to spike humidity at night and let it dry back down during the day.

Prepared diet, not crickets

A complete powdered crested gecko diet mixed with water covers everything nutritionally. Insects are an optional extra, not a requirement. Fresh water dish, always.

How it works

Three steps, and nothing ships until you say so.

Buying a live animal shouldn't feel like buying a parcel. Here is the whole process, start to finish.

01

Reserve the animal

Pick the gecko and reserve it. That takes it off the list immediately — no one else can buy it while you sort out timing. Each animal is one of one.

02

We agree a ship date

We email you within a business day and look at the forecast at both ends. Overnight courier, Monday to Wednesday only, and we postpone freely if the weather turns.

03

It arrives alive

Insulated box, heat or cool pack for the season, tracking the morning it leaves. Live arrival is guaranteed, and the animal's written record travels with it.

Why buy from us

A gecko is not a parcel.

Everything below is standard on every animal — not an upsell, not a premium tier. It is what shipping a living thing responsibly requires.

Live Arrival Guaranteed

Overnight courier in insulated, temperature-controlled packaging. If anything goes wrong in transit, we make it right — no argument.

Written Record

A signed record ships with every animal: registry number, morph, hatch date and weight taken the day it leaves, and the pairing where it's one of ours.

One Of One

Every listing is a single animal, photographed individually and shown in a full 360° orbit. Reserve it and it leaves the catalogue.

Support For Life

Questions about feeding, humidity, or shedding a year from now? Still ours to answer. We'd rather help than have an animal struggle.

The standard

We'd rather sell four geckos than forty.

This is a small operation and the list is short on purpose. Every animal on it gets photographed properly, shown from every angle, and described in the words we would use if you were standing here looking at it with us.
